Developer's Notes #6

Greetings Sentinels,

It’s been a while since we last checked in.

We know many of you have been waiting to hear more about Chrono Odyssey, and we’ve been following the discussions, questions and feedback you’ve shared along the way. We truly appreciate everyone who has continued to follow and support the game.

Development is ongoing in a number of areas from new content to improvements to the overall game experience. Today, we’d like to share a brief update on one area in particular: PC optimization.

Optimization Update

Performance and stability were among the most common concerns raised during the Closed Beta Test, particularly around frame drops and crashes. We also saw cases where the game struggled to run smoothly even on higher-end PCs. Ensuring stable performance on a wide range of PC hardware remains a key priority for the development team.

Alongside our internal optimization efforts, we’ve partnered with Quasar Zone, an IT and hardware media community, to evaluate the game across a broader range of systems.

Quasar Zone has extensive experience benchmarking and analyzing PC performance for a number of globally recognized games. As part of this collaboration, we're testing Chrono Odyssey on various hardware configurations to identify potential performance bottlenecks and other issues that could impact the gameplay experience.

Our testing covers frame rate stability, rendering performance, and other factors that can affect how the game runs on different PC specifications.

Beyond PC optimization, work is also underway on character movement and animations, input responsiveness, controls, UI/UX, and other areas previously covered in our Developer's Notes. We'll share more on these improvements through future updates.

We remain focused on improving the overall quality of Chrono Odyssey and look forward to sharing more with you along the way.
